On Monday morning we will break camp and head back to the cars.
• Yosemite: Glacier Point Ramble
Yosemite Snowcamping: Hike to Glacier Point- Enjoy a long weekend in Yosemite National Park hiking to Glacier Point. We will stay Thursday night somewhere nearby. Friday morning we will drive to Badger Pass and then snowshoe to the Taft Point area and set up camp. On Saturday we will do a day hike from our campt to Glacier Point and back. On Sunday morning we will break camp and head back to the cars. Must be Alumni of the SF Bay Chapter’s Snowcamping Training Series. Trip limited to 10 participants
• Forestdale Divide Snowcamp

Join us for an easy early-spring snowcamp near Carson Pass, perfect for new alumni and busy schedules. From the Forestdale Creek trailhead, we’ll snowshoe south along the snow-covered dirt road, cross Forestdale Creek, and climb toward Forestdale Divide, traveling about 2–2.5 miles to our campsite. We aim to arrive by lunchtime, then use the afternoon to practice shelter building, test new gear, and explore the surrounding wilderness without our packs. On Sunday morning, we’ll break camp and return to the cars. Trip limited to 10 participants
• Mount Shasta: Horse Camp

Trip is Active.
Snowshoe on the spectacular slopes of Mt Shasta. From the 8000’ elevation of Horse Camp we have views up to the 14,162’ summit of Shasta — as well as marvelous vistas out west to Castle Crags, to the Trinity Alps, and the Pacific coast. On Saturday morning, we’ll hike from Bunny Flat up Avalanche Gulch to the Sierra Club’s hut at Horse Camp, where we’ll set up our campsite (no horses involved!!). We will then venture further up the mountain towards Lake Helen or circuit around the mountain, depending on snow and weather conditions. No mountaineering is involved; the only skills/equipment required are snowshoes (or cross-country skis if preferred).
• Crater Lake, Oregon

Enjoy the winter scenery of beautiful Crater Lake. From the park headquarters we’ll ascend to the rim of the caldera to Rim Village and continue west taking in the views along the way. We’ll setup camp with views of Wizard Island. Saturday we’ll snow shoe along the western rim and around The Watchman, conditions permitting. Sunday break camp and return to the cars.
